Smithfield Property Group is a boutique property business created and operated by two highly respected property industry experts. Our objective is to improve the places that we touch to create properties with character and energy.  Ultimately we would like to leave a lasting legacy and for the name “Smithfield” to be synonymous with quality, durable and timeless properties.

Our two directors started with very different professional backgrounds which ultimately led them to a shared vision.


Anthony Doolin - Director
BBus Property

Prior to starting Smithfield Property Group, Anthony worked for Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC), a $90 billion fund manager.  QIC Real Estate, for which Anthony was Development Manager, managed over $7 billion in property with over $2 billion in projects coming through their development pipeline.  Anthony delivered $400 million in projects in Queensland for QIC and worked on a further $600 million in developments in Sydney & Melbourne.  His expertise in the design and management of significant property development projects is difficult to match and he now applies his expertise to Smithfield’s boutique developments.  His insight and ability to read the market sets him apart from most other property professionals.  Anthony held former positions as a Property Valuer and Lease Negotiator and has an extensive network of property contacts.


Andrew Shearer-Smith - Director
BCom, LLB, Grad Dip Applied Finance

Andrew Shearer-Smith, was a lawyer for 18 years before launching Smithfield Property Group.  Andrew was formerly a partner of McMahon Clarke ( which is a commercial law firm specialising in corporate advisory, capital markets, funds management, commercial property and litigation and risk management.  Andrew accrued over 12 years of experience in the Australian property funds management industry as a lawyer and prior to that a further six years as a banking and finance lawyer in Australia and London.

Andrew has held committee positions with the Property Council of Australia, the Property Funds Association of Australian and was previously appointed to the Australian Government’s Financial Services Working Group, which was tasked with the overhaul of parts of Australia’s financial services laws. For a number of years Andrew was ranked by Chambers & Partners as a Leading Individual in the field of Investment Funds in Australia. 

Andrew’s family also have extensive interests in the Australian cattle industry with Smithfield Cattle Company ( being one of Australia’s largest privately owned cattle feedlot operations and Allied Beef ( being a pastoral company controlling over 25,000 head.


Reece Goode – Development Manager
BBus Man, Maj. Real Estate Development

After completing a Bachelor of Business Management degree majoring in Real Estate and Development at the University of Queensland, Reece worked for 9 years as a commercial sales and leasing agent with Jones Lang LaSalle & Wright Property.

Over his time in commercial real estate Reece completed transactions for organisations such as Stockland, Investa, DeLuca Corporation and Qld Government to name a few and completed sales transactions in excess of $90m and $3m in leases.

In 2015 he moved out of commercial agency and took a role with ASX Listed company Devine Limited in their Apartments division, where his primary responsibilities covered development management of two large 100+ apartment projects and site acquisitions. Recently he also assisted with the sales launch of Mirvac’s $1 Billion Ascot Green development at the Brisbane Racing Club.
